Bolivarian Government provided support to 200 agro-producers affected by floods in Cumanacoa

As part of the public policies of the Bolivarian Government, 200 agro-producers and agro-producers from 23 sectors affected by the flooding of the Manzanares River last July 02 in Cumanacoa, Montes municipality of Sucre state, by the Ministry of Popular Power of Urban Agriculture (MINPPAU), received 200 kits of agricultural tools, during an event organized in Plaza Bolívar.
In this regard, Jesús Peña, commissioner of the MINPPAU Office, said that the delivery is part of the support of President Nicolás Maduro Moros to guarantee the social welfare of his people.
He stressed that “we trust you producers and we are sure that Cumanacoa will grow green in the midst of a great productive change and economic growth.”
For her part, Johanne Barceló, regional director of the MINPPAU, announced that these tools will enhance the entity's productive forces. He added that producers who with their hearts will turn green again and have a Ministry that will support them and together they will contribute to the Agrifood Sovereignty that the country needs.
Meanwhile, producer Rodolfo Marín stated that if there is a government working for Cumanacoa, and there is a commitment to move the Municipality forward from the first day of the phenomenon that awakened them.
“We producers will continue working and opting for the technified conucos, it would be an advance and a project of the future for this municipality,” he said.
In addition, on behalf of the sole authority of Cumanacoa, M/G Lockiby Belmontes, General López Barrios announced that, in compliance with the guidelines of President Maduro, until Cumanacoa is reborn, they will not withdraw from that territory.
“We're going to be here supporting them day by day, week by week, month by month... We are like the Armed Forces supporting them 100 percent,” he said.
