The Minister
of Popular Power for Transportation, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, reported
that 208 new compatriots from the United States
(USA) arrived in the country this Friday, as part of the actions carried out by the Bolivarian Government through the Plan Back to the Fatherland.
From Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, La Guaira, he explained that
of the 208 passengers, 30 are women, two children and 176 men, who come on this
second direct flight from the United States to Venezuela with an airline from that northern nation.
He pointed out that people with criminal records come on this plane, “however, all of them, as soon as they arrive, will be verified and will be directed according to the condition with which they are arriving.”
He reaffirmed that all State agencies work
together to provide humanitarian assistance to all
Venezuelan migrants who arrive on these repatriation flights.
“All the institutions that are part of and that are
committed to this activity of receiving our returnees, will be
doing the work to determine all the actions that in any way make it
possible to know the situation of each of them and to give them the
necessary humanitarian treatment,” he said, stressing that compatriots are received and treated in accordance with those established in the procedure manual for these cases.
In addition, he noted that a more complete part of this flight will be given later. At the same time, he recalled that the Plan Back to the Fatherland was created and promoted by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, to repatriate our compatriots in a dignified and humanistic manner.
