The National Government, through the Ministry of People's Power for Transportation (MPPT), intensified a coordinated deployment in the states of Sucre and Anzoátegui to mitigate road damage caused by the heavy rains caused by tropical wave No. 48.

In the state of Sucre, multidisciplinary teams have been concentrated in Cumanacoa, in the municipality of Montes, where war bridges were installed, which will serve as an interim step for the transfer of food and supplies, due to the collapse of two bridges.

Meanwhile, in the Sucre municipality, technical staff are working to correct an edge fault in “El Murciélago”, including the channeling of the ravine and the construction of drainage works, as part of the Comprehensive Road Care Plan 2025, according to a press release from the MPPT.

In addition, the action plan for the total rehabilitation of the Cumanacoa - San Lorenzo strategic section was formalized, which includes the intervention of the road that connects the Aricagua parish with the road that leads to Maturín, in the state of Monagas.

Simultaneously, in the state of Anzoátegui, the priority of the working class was focused on Sector La China, in the parish of San Miguel, Peñalver municipality, where a 48-inch sewer collapsed. In this regard, the Ministry of Transport, together with the Government of the entity, are making progress in the rehabilitation of the drainage system.

Among the tasks being carried out are: excavation and removal of filling material, demolition of concrete and asphalt, and leveling the area. The vehicle passage is kept closed for safety, with a detour enabled by Troncal 14 from the Santa Fe Cruise.
