Around five thousand fruit and forest plants typical of the state of Zulia were planted in the Zipayare sector of the Raúl Cuenca parish of the Valmore Rodríguez municipality.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism, the planting day marked vertices two (Sowing for Life) and three (Territory for Life) of the Great Mother Earth Venezuela Mission, in addition to commemorating the International Day against Climate Change and the Bicentennial of the Chuquisaca Decree.
Five hectares were reforested with species such as apamate, canao yellow flower, ceiba, jabillo and samán, in coordination with the spokespersons of the Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías Commune and the participation of the Tree Mission and the National Reforestation Company (CONARE), the Youth of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (JPSUV), the new graduates of the International Youth Leadership School “Antonio José de Sucre”, the government of Zulia through the Secretariat of Environment, the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) through the Environmental Day Care Center, and the Bolivarian Military Aviation.
