Bolivarian Government rehabilitated the Trolcable in Mérida

As part of the second phase of the Plan of the Seven Transformations, President Nicolás Maduro delivered the fully rehabilitated and active Urban Trolcable Car System of Mérida.

The Head of State stressed that despite economic difficulties, the rehabilitation of public services is being achieved and works are being carried out throughout Venezuela.

The National President specified that part of the benefits of the activation of the Mérida Urban Trolcable Cable Car System is the reduction of connectivity from the center of the city of Mérida and the Chama Basin and vice versa, which will contribute to the quality of life of the people of Mérida.

Maduro emphasized that the construction of social welfare and peace, “will not be stopped by anything or anyone, we will live it in peace with maximum social happiness,” he said.

For his part, the Minister for Transport, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, explained that in this project, work was carried out to adapt to the Trolcable System, including: the installation of the tracted cable, 1 km of guaya being replaced, the cabin belts, bearing system, replacement of the main motor, and now it has three power generation systems in case of emergency.

In the same way, he pointed out that the green areas and their structure were embellished, which in his opinion not only improves aesthetics, but also reduces travel time significantly, immediately connecting the inhabitants of the state of Mérida with their daily lives, in addition to quick access to tourist areas.

He highlighted that the system operates with clean energy, promoting a more sustainable quality of life for the inhabitants of the parish.
