Bolivarian Government rehabilitates national highway between Lara and Portuguesa

Bolivarian Government officials have completed the rehabilitation of the national highway, Troncal 4, which connects the state of Lara (Barquisimeto) with Portuguesa (Guanare), within the framework of the National Asphalt Plan.

This road crosses part of the territory of the Simón Planas municipality (Sarare), from the community of El Gamelotal to La Lucía, an obligatory passage for people traveling from the north to the south of Venezuela.

According to regional press reports, the maintenance work includes 30 kilometers of lines, continuous and discontinuous. 29 road signs were identified and installed, eight public transport stops were relocated, and metal and protective fences were also recovered. In addition, the new road maintenance system included the demarcation of continuous lines, the placement of reflective markers (cat's eye), and weeding and public lighting days were held.
