As part of the San Sebastian International Fair 2025, the Táchira State Police announced a series of measures to reinforce security at the San Cristóbal Fair Complex.

The director of the police force, Chief Commissioner Wilman Rivera Torres, on his Instagram account, reported that during this important regional event, which attracts numerous visitors both local and from other states, PolitÁchira is committed to ensuring peace and tranquility, thus ensuring a safe and pleasant experience for all attendees.

He noted that with the comprehensive participation of various citizen security agencies and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), close collaboration has been established for the implementation of a special operation.

“This joint effort will be governed by an operations order issued by the Comprehensive Defense Operational Zone (ZODI) of Táchira, led by Division General Michell Valladares. This strategic plan seeks to maximize the effectiveness of security activities during the course of the fairs,” he said.

Rivera Torres said he gave “precise instructions to all police officers who will be present at the Fair Complex, stressing the importance of their role in maintaining order and security.

Throughout the month of January, these officials will be especially dedicated to these tasks, working tirelessly to ensure that each day goes smoothly.

This initiative reflects the commitment of Politáchira and regional authorities to the protection of citizens and visitors. Civic, military and police cooperation is an example of the joint effort necessary for the success of major events, such as the San Sebastian International Fair.

The measures adopted are a clear sign of the determination to ensure that safety is an undisputed priority during these festivities so significant for Táchira.
