The Bolivarian Government began the repair of three Simón Rodríguez urban planning buildings, located in Ciudad Tiuna, Coche parish of Caracas, after the damage caused by the United States bombing on January 3.

Towers 34, 35 and 36, each of fifteen floors with ten apartments, suffered collateral damage such as broken or chipped windows, and in apartment 13D of tower 34, a missile shard pierced the house.

The efforts are carried out by the People's Power Solutions Brigades of the Caracas Mayor's Office coordinated by Cruz Reverón, who reported that the work includes replacing roofs, waterproofing the roof and then another team will be responsible for changing glass in damaged windows, reports the CCS Journal.

“We are replacing the roofs affected by the shock wave. That's why we're replacing plastic sheets, which are luminous, with zinc sheets,” he explained.

In the waterproofing part, he pointed out that first the cement and sand mortar will be carried out to make the necessary corrections to the plate and to be able to give off rainwater; then they will seal the pores with first liquid to continue with the bonding of the asphalt mantle.

Finally, they will apply plastic cement to prevent leaks, and finish with the waterproofing paint.

In the same complex, the Ecosocialist Educational Unit El Arañero de Sabaneta was also affected, with all its windows broken due to the explosion. Mayor's office staff have already changed the glass and carried out repairs in other areas, including brickwork, painting and park recovery.
