The Ministry of People's Power for Transportation re-established traffic on the Valle-Coche Highway, in Caracas, after completing repair work on a road infrastructure damaged by a recent earthquake.
The agency's technical teams carried out the reinforcement of a column that presented structural faults after the seismic event, thus ensuring safety on one of the capital's main road arteries.
The Minister of Transport, Jacqueline Fanía, coordinated the technical inspection of the works and highlighted the speed of the maneuvers to minimize the impact on the city's automotive flow.
The work was part of the contingency and road rehabilitation plan deployed by the ministry to address the effects on public property after the earthquake. With the completion of these works, the traffic flow in both directions of the highway returned to normal under the supervision of the competent authorities.
