Bolivarian Government secures vote for those deprived of their liberty in Táchira

The Ministry for the Penitentiary Service guarantees the right to vote to 1,900 prisoners who have not yet been sentenced.

The information was provided by Minister Julio García Zerpa, after exercising his right to vote in Simoncito de Barrancas, in the upper part of the municipality of Cárdenas in the state of Táchira. In the entity, the Western Penitentiary Center was set up, in which not only those deprived of their liberty authorized to exercise their right but also the surrounding community participated.

Regarding the electoral process, he indicated that it took place in calm and tranquility, once again demonstrating the citizenship of the population at the time of exercising full democracy of the population.
