Bolivarian Government seized 380 kilograms of cocaine in Zulia in an anti-drug operation

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) seized 380 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride in the state of Zulia, during Operation “Fragmentary Order No. 13-25 'Guajira'”, as part of the actions of the Catatumbo Lightning Operations Order.
The operation, reported the Ministry of Popular Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace (MPPRIJP), on its Instagram account, was carried out in the Castillete sector, Alta Guajira parish, Guajira Indigenous Bolivarian municipality, under the coordination of the Strategic Region for Integral Defense No. 1 “Western” (REDI Occidental).
During patrolling and reconnaissance work, with the support of a Rapid Reaction Unit (URRA), a hiding point used for international maritime drug trafficking was dismantled, while two citizens were apprehended and 13 buried bundles containing 390 rectangular packages of cocaine hydrochloride, with a total weight of 380 kilograms, were seized.
The case was notified to the Public Prosecutor's Office (MP) to continue with investigations and corresponding legal proceedings.
The Bolivarian Government, through the FANB and the citizen security bodies, under the guidelines of the Sectorial Vice President for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Captain Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reiterates its unwavering commitment to the fight against drugs, assuring that Venezuela will not be used as a platform for illegal activities that attempt to undermine the peace of the Venezuelan people.
