Bolivarian Government serves affected populations in Sucre state after 48 continuous hours of rain

From the town of Güiria, in the state of Sucre, the Sectorial Vice President for Public Security and Peace, Remigio Ceballos Ichaso, reported on direct care actions for the population affected by the rains that occurred between Saturday 10 and Sunday, August 11, 2024.
Ceballos Ichaso, accompanied by Governor Gilberto Pinto and the mayor of the Valdez municipality, Román Rojas, stressed that the organs of the National Executive provide the necessary care, instructed by President Nicolás Maduro, the delivery of food, the supply of drinking water and health evaluation, in order to guarantee the well-being of the people of Sucrense.
“In this town, there were rains for 48 hours equivalent to the rainfall that fell in a month (...) so, in two large tributaries bordering Güiria, there were floods that had already been drained into the sea,” explained Ceballos Ichaso, reported by Prensa MPPRIJP.
Among the institutions of the Bolivarian Government present in the recovery activities in perfect civic-military-police union are the Ministries of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace; Public Works; Water Care; and Transportation, as well as the National Directorate of Civil Protection and Emergency Management, the State and Municipal Police, among others.
Likewise, Ceballos Ichaso announced the delivery of special funding for citizen security bodies and the National Risk Management System in the entity “for direct attention and combat against risks, threats and vulnerabilities”.
Finally, the holder of the Public Security portfolio asserted that the National Government, as a social care policy, has the National Rain Care Plan 2024 to immediately respond to the comprehensive care and protection of families affected by these natural phenomena, as ordered by the 5th Vertex of the Great Quadrant Mission for Peace.
