Bolivarian Government thanks Iran's demand to release President Nicolás Maduro

The Bolivarian Government expresses its sincere gratitude to the Islamic Republic of Iran for its energetic demand for the release of the Constitutional President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, and the first female combatant, Cilia Flores.

The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, in his account on the social network Telegram, stressed that “on behalf of the Bolivarian Government, we want to express our sincere gratitude to the Islamic Republic of Iran for its strong demand for the release of Constitutional President Nicolás Maduro and the First Combatant Cilia Flores.”

In this regard, he stressed that “as the spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Esmail Baqaei, has rightly pointed out, this situation of kidnapping represents an act of illegality on the part of the United States Government, which puts at risk the peace and sovereignty of all peoples of the world”.
