Delcy Rodríguez from Portuguesa ratified her support for the Venezuelan Community Coffee Plan

The President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, confirmed her support for the Venezuelan Community Coffee Plan, an initiative aimed at strengthening the basic productive economy, guaranteeing food sovereignty and consolidating the export capacity of Venezuelan coffee.

During a meeting with coffee farmers and producers in the Portuguese state, the National President announced that among the key measures announced to directly support coffee producers, are the guarantee of the supply of subsidized diesel fuel and direct financing for the purchase of fertilizers.

It also welcomed the establishment of equitable costs for domestic production. “We have fair prices for our coffee producers. It's social justice and economic justice that recognizes the efforts of our workers,” said Rodríguez, while stressing the importance of continuing to work on the installation of specialized laboratories to maintain the highest quality standards.

Rodríguez highlighted the historic milestone achieved by community organizations when they were able to place their production in international markets. “For the first time, communes exported coffee to Europe and the United States. That's the real feeling of international cooperation,” he said.

In this sense, he ratified his deep conviction in the communal economy model to supply the local market at supportive prices and to project the country abroad, “I deeply believe in the communal economy”
