Books from Collection 25 by 25 are distributed throughout the national territory

A series of books from Collection 25 to 25 published by the Fund for Economic Culture (FCE) of Mexico, intended for people between 15 and 30 years old; they are distributed free of charge throughout Venezuela, as an editorial initiative with authors of the Latin American Boom that seeks to bring new generations closer to the collective memory of their territories, their struggles and their stories.
The distribution began in Caracas as part of a continental launch last December, as a result of an agreement between the FCE and the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture (MPPC), represented by the National Book Center (CENAL) and Monte Ávila Editores Latinoamericana. It takes place at numerous branches of the Southern Bookstores, on Thursdays and Fridays.
Deliveries have also been scheduled in cultural spaces, educational centers and Community Circuits. In addition, books from Collection 25 by 25 began to circulate in Amazonas, Aragua, Carabobo, Yaracuy and Falcón, according to reports from Librería del Sur on their social networks.
Available titles include Requiem for Teresa, by Dante Liano (Guatemala); The Privileges of Oblivion, by Piedad Bonnett (Colombia); Weekend in Guatemala, by Miguel Ángel Asturias (Guatemala); How to Shoot Against Death, by Juan Gelman (Argentina) and Concrete Music, by Amparo Dávila (Mexico).
In total, there are 27 titles that make up the collection, which will be distributed progressively during 2026, in which the writer and intellectual Luis Britto García and his work Habla, Palabra are also included as a reference for Venezuelan literature. It is expected that 200,000 copies of the collection will be distributed throughout the country.
