BT credit portfolio registered an increase of 130% in dollars during 2024

The Banco del Tesoro (BT) loan portfolio closed 2024 with growth of 237% in bolivars and 130% in dollars, according to the financial institution's key indicators.

The advances reflect an above average growth in the financial system, which allowed the year to end with a balance of 3,974.8 million bolivars (US$ 76.4 million), ranking 8th among the banks with the highest credit activity, with a market share of 3.2% versus 2.2% a year ago.

On the other hand, the default rate of total loans from the Treasury Bank peaked last year at 0.56%, well below the banking average (1.16%), thanks to a reduction of 0.04 percentage points compared to the figure at the close of the previous year.

Meanwhile, financial intermediation ended 2024 at 46.32%, above the system average and with an annualized growth of 14.34 percentage points (the sixth highest among all banks).

In addition, the entity highlighted the growth in public recruitment, which allowed it to remain among the 10 leading entities in that category.

The financial institution closed 2024 with deposits for a total amount of 8,580.5 million bolivars (164.9 million dollars), an annual increase of 132.6% in local currency and 59% in dollars.

The bank was consolidated in 2024 as the sixth most important in the financial system, closing the year with a balance of 26,555.6 million bolivars (510.4 million dollars). This represents a positive variation of 68.7% in bolivars and 15.2% in dollars compared to the close of 2023.
