The Sectorial Vice President for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, during his speech at the regular session of the National Assembly (AN), offered details on the dismantling of the terrorist plan against peace in Venezuela.

In that regard, he explained the involvement of two Spanish citizens in these plans, who were arrested and confessed that the National Center for Spanish Intelligence (CNI) hires mercenaries and is in Venezuela.

Cabello indicated that “the Spanish CNI knows that this is true, as does the CIA, which is the command center for these operations,” while explaining that each of those involved is “sheltered in a safe place. We respect human rights.”

The Minister of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, also condemned their intention to qualify these individuals as tourists, since “we have asked people of Spanish origin and they don't go on vacation in September (...) Their holidays are in July and August. It's strange that they're on vacation in September! (...) It's strange that two Spaniards come from so far away to go sightseeing in Puerto Ayacucho, that they would first have gone to the beaches of La Guaira, Falcón, Margarita”.
