The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, announced the creation of the Integral Base Bolivarian Committees through Popular Assemblies that will be held in all streets of the country, on Saturdays 8 and 15 and Sundays 9 and 16 in November.

Cabello Rondón asserted that they must be Popular Assemblies with the fundamental characteristics of the Chavista People when they meet, “with joy, with enthusiasm, in holy peace and tranquility” and do so wherever they decide.

“The basic consultation method establishes that the selection of the members of the Bolivarian Integral Street Committees will be carried out through an open and popular consultation of the rank and file of the party, through grass-roots meetings, nomination and election, in which local and neighboring militants will nominate the best women and men with the corresponding profile and characteristics to assume responsibility for these committees, this being one of the methods of democracy. internal established in article 6 of the statutes of the PSUV party,” he explained.

Cabello asserted that the basic nomination and elections are the space for a fraternal, inclusive, unitary and supportive encounter between party members, neighbors, families and other inhabitants of the street brothers and sisters of the Great Patriotic Pole (GPP) where this application process will take place for the selection of at least 9 members.

He reiterated that committees must have a leadership whose objective is the coordination of the work team; “that leadership can be fixed or rotating, and it has to be from the street.”
