The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, said that, to defend the country, everything is allowed, except for a disagreement.
“When it comes to defending the Homeland, everything is worth it, except to be an idiot or a prick,” Cabello emphasized during the Extraordinary Plenary of the Fifth Congress of the PSUV and the Fourth of the JPSUV.
He stressed that the internal enemy is fragmented and that its manifestations in different spheres have demonstrated practices of corruption and conflicts between its own actors.
Cabello indicated that the ambition for power has weakened the opposition sectors, while the revolutionary forces remain cohesive on several fronts: the PSUV, the Great Patriotic Pole, social movements and the orientation of President Nicolás Maduro towards a Popula-Military-Police Fusion.
The revolutionary leader denounced a constant campaign against the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, its members and their families, as well as against the people in general. Faced with this offensive, he stressed that the party must be in the streets, together with its cadres, in dialogue with the communities.
“The economic and psychological war seeks to immobilize the revolutionary cadre. It should not paralyze the spirit. It must strengthen the defense of the Revolution and the homeland,” he said.
Cabello insisted that the transition to new forms of struggle requires dedication and detachment. “When I talk about detachment, when I talk about detachment, I talk about letting go of everything,” he concluded.
