Diosdado Cabello, general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), denounced that Colombian drug trafficking mafias are linked to electoral fraud in Ecuador and US interference.

“It was common for the United States to install and remove presidents with coups d'etat. They were doing it with the CIA,” he said. In this regard, he stressed that “they still do it but with other methods, now systems intervene and carry out coups d'etat in the same way.”

He added that in Peru they staged a coup d'etat against an elected president and they have a dictator that everyone recognizes her, no one asks them for minutes and they have the president of Peru imprisoned in a prison with no right to anything.

“In Ecuador, they have just done the robbery of the century and no one asks for minutes or a recount of votes. It is enough for the US to say that is, and that is. Why do they put a man like Noboa in Ecuador? Well, drugs and their mafias cannot pass through Venezuela and then they take them there,” he explained,
