The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, asserted that, on precise instructions from the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, Colombians displaced to Venezuelan territory are not alone because they have the support of the Bolivarian Government.

Venezuela has always, always, always said that it has open arms and hearts to help them, and we have always demonstrated it without saying anything,” he stressed.

This was highlighted during his Con El Mazo Dando program when referring to the humanitarian corridor with four points that operate on the borders between Venezuela and Colombia.

In this regard, he said that in his activity in the Catatumbo sector, Santa Bárbara del Zulia, “we received a group of colleagues who have been fleeing terror, war, fear, boys and girls who bring their pets, bring their dreams, embraced”.

“Fathers and mothers with that uncertainty of someone who loves their children, what is going to happen to my children? they arrived by helicopter and we immediately treated them, there are recreational people, doctors, paramedics, nurses, there is food for them. Lovingly cared for,” he said.

Cabello pointed out that later “we shot to Casigua El Cubo, to the refuge (...) they receive them just as lovingly, and just as with the same uncertainty”.

“A boy hugged me and started to cry and I told him that the hard part had been over, because they were already in safe territory. Venezuela is a safe territory, it is one of peace,” he emphasized.
