Cabello: Every victory for the Fatherland is a victory against fascism

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, stressed that “every victory of the Homeland is a victory against fascism, it is a defeat against fascism”, referring to the elections of last Sunday, May 25.

He assured that the Amazon has always been a territory forgotten by the sectors of the extreme right. “They don't care, because they (the extreme right) underestimate the People and that's why the fight they gave them here in Amazonas is so that they learn to respect the People,” he said during the Swearing in of Governor Miguel Rodríguez in Puerto Ayacucho.

On the other hand, he highlighted the special closeness he feels with the state of Amazonas. “It's the best kept secret that Venezuela and the world have (...) this state is a beauty, it's a beauty of a state, with its people and it's the ideal complement to the Amazon state (...) and I feel a spiritual and loving closeness to this land,” he said.

In addition, he conveyed the greetings and congratulations of President Nicolás Maduro to the People of Amazonas for the great extraordinary victory last Sunday in the regional and legislative elections.
