The Bolivarian Government intensifies the fight against drug trafficking and affects production in Colombia.
The sectoral vice-president for Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reported that the anti-drug operations carried out by the Bolivarian Government have had a significant impact on drug production in Colombia, leading drug traffickers to withhold approximately two months of drug production.
“Duque, Uribe is having a hard time! It is said that right now they are under arrest, because they cannot pass it (drugs), because we cut their chain, the production of drugs has been suppressed in Colombia for two months,” Cabello emphasized during the Sin Truco Ni Maña Program.
He explained that in an operation carried out last Wednesday, security forces intercepted two boats with nine people on board, who, after being questioned, revealed that their objective was to recover a cache of drugs in Colombian territory.
Cabello also noted that major drug producers, such as Iván Duque, Andrés Pastrana, Juan Manuel Santos and Álvaro Uribe, have resorted to allied governments, such as that of Nayib Bukele in El Salvador and Daniel Novoa in Ecuador, to facilitate the transit of illicit substances.
Cabello stressed that 93% of Colombian drugs are exported through the Pacific, while only 7% come out through the Caribbean, while stressing that, according to data from the Colombian government itself, more than 250,000 hectares of drugs are produced in that country, reflecting the magnitude of the illegal trade in the neighboring nation.
He also reaffirmed the commitment of the Bolivarian Government to the fight against drug trafficking and assured that security operations will continue to weaken criminal structures that seek to destabilize the peace of Venezuelans and Venezuelans.
