The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, highlighted the clumsiness of the right in sending Juan Carlos Caldera to choose the position of the Bureau of Unity (MUD) on the electoral card for the presidential elections of July 28.

“Today we saw those contradictions on the right (...) It was the people of the MUD who chose their place on the card. And do you know who represented the MUD? Juan Carlos Caldera, the character is striking, because he was in the acts with Mrs. María Corina, with Mrs. Corina Yoris and with those who said they would not let her register. And now who is lying to them? “, Cabello asked himself at a PSUV press conference.

In that sense, he questioned that this right wing, instead of assuming its mistakes and that it is a fight between them, preferred to blame Chavismo for supposedly not being able to register with the National Electoral Council (CNE).

“They themselves, with their clumsiness, send the same person accused of corruption, but beyond that, one of those who was in the photo... How is that? What explanation do they give to each other? They prefer to blame us, they have always had the power of the card; they didn't want to register these people, that's another thing, that they're taking a toll on each other, is something else,” he said.

He stressed that while the opposition continues to fight, the PSUV chose its place on the electoral card, “up and to the left as it has historically been (...) and the electoral schedule fortunately continues to advance, leaving, along the way, those who have not met the requirements, those who do not meet the minimum legal requirement to be candidates or to be a political party.”
