Julio Borges, Hebert García Plaza, Rafael Isea and Martín Rodill led a criminal network in the United States that was responsible for extorting corrupt Venezuelans fleeing to that country, in exchange for preventing them from being sanctioned by the authorities, the Minister of Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, reported.
During the third edition of the podcast Sin Truco Ni Maña, Cabello said that these criminals supported their actions with “contacts” they had in the southern district of the United States.
“People believe that in the United States, if there are no corrupt people, here we are uncovering one of the biggest pots of corruption in recent times,” he said.
In the same way, he denounced how USAID financed, using intermediaries, the execution of the opposition's primary elections, ahead of the presidential election of July 28.
“How can the United States pay for elections in Venezuela? Everyone who appears involved in the primaries falls under the Simon Bolivar Law,” he emphasized, while stressing that all the leaders of the Venezuelan right receive money from the United States.
