The Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reaffirmed the position of the National Government vis-à-vis citizens who promote actions that endanger the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic, specifically with the call for military invasion by foreign powers.
“When you decide to join an army that is an enemy of your country, you are tacitly renouncing that nationality,” said Cabello Rondón, during his Con El Mazo Dando program, referring directly to the statements of the opponent Leopoldo López, which led the Bolivarian Government to request the revocation of his nationality.
He explained that all Venezuelans and Venezuelans have a duty to honor and defend their Homeland. “Whoever asks for an invasion of their own country is joining a foreign army and is tacitly and explicitly renouncing their nationality, they don't need anyone to take them away, they are already resigning, the request is just a formalism,” he added.
In that sense, Cabello Rondón, said that a lot of people have come out to say that they want to take away their nationality. “Nobody is naming them, what they are waiting for is for someone to say something to say that they are leaving the United States because their nationality has been taken away, that they are politically persecuted, no one is naming them, stupid,” he said.
Cabello emphasized that the specific case is Leopoldo López because he has joined the United States army to invade Venezuela, “he said so.”
The general secretary of the PSUV recalled that Leopoldo López has been a Spanish citizen for many years, no one has put him in the condition of a pariah, “he is a pirate, but a pirate with papers”.
