The sectoral vice-president for Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, highlighted the severe blow to the drug trafficking logistics network that attempts to pass drugs through Venezuela.

During his participation in the Con Maduro+ program, led by President Nicolás Maduro, the also Minister of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace stressed that the groups that organized the routes to transport drugs have been dismantled.

“The logistics network that is essential for them to move all that drug that in theory should pass through here. That is what has hurt them the most because they manufacture drugs every day, but setting up a logistics network costs them a lot of time to organize with transport, with fuel, with people, with links, with even, one must say self-critically, with officials who lend themselves to these shady businesses and the number of people we have in detention, the infrastructure that we have seized from him, which was used to store their drugs, to store their equipment,” said Cabello.

In this regard, he highlighted the confiscation of a large number of boat engines of 300 horsepower and more, “which are the ones that use narcolanches (...) now used by the Revolution to defend the entire national territory”.

“It's going to be very difficult for them to have links again to organize routes and well, that's where the attack comes from, knowing that here in the Venezuelan Caribbean what they can get out of is very little. First because of the combat we have against them and second because their route is the Pacific,” he explained.
