Cabello on Congress of the PSUV and JPSUV: We came out stronger from this plenary session

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reaffirmed this Monday that from the Congress of the PSUV and the Youth of the PSUV the political organization emerged stronger and more united to continue working for the Bolivarian Revolution.

“We are still holding the V Congress of the PSUV and the IV of the JPSUV for different reasons (...) in fact what we saw at that Congress about the attitude, the disposition, the way it developed, is that the PSUV emerges stronger from these plenary meetings,” he said.

Also, during the PSUV press conference, he recalled that important decisions were taken within the framework of the Congress, such as the elimination of the figure of the first vice-president and he is now general secretary of the party. “Now the vice-presidencies are going to adapt to that new system,” he said.

He highlighted that the method for choosing the candidates and candidates of the PSUV was also approved for the elections of April 27.

“We are going to comply with the regulations, a profoundly democratic method established in our Red Book, for choosing candidates and candidates, doing analysis, listening to the grassroots, polls, doing everything, so that the fundamental premise is fulfilled that our People, the bases of the party, have their opinion on the matter and it is the decision of the bases that in the end will manifest and prevail,” he said.

In the same way, he indicated that the PSUV is also preparing to consolidate “the communal structure of the party and join the efforts that the Bolivarian Revolution has been making in order to hand over more power to the people. And the issue of sectoral teams, where social movements have their teams for mobilization, not only electoral, but for revolutionary mobilization.”

In addition, he stressed that in the same way, the proposal was made to the Political High Command for the formation of the Historical Bloc and the Five Generations.
