The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, highlighted the development of the popular assemblies in which the Bolivarian Committees of Integral Bases (CBBI) were elected.

He highlighted that the PSUV managed to gather 235,722 streets across the country, where communities held their assemblies and decided directly who would be part of the CBBI. “Our people decided and now what we are doing is transcribing that will,” he said.

He explained that the organization expects an average of nine members per committee, although it has been requested to expand it to fifteen. In cases where eleven members are established, the structure will allow for a boss and two teams of five, thus ensuring the operability and progress of the organization.

During his Con El Mazo Dando program, he emphasized that this process constitutes a fundamental step in the consolidation of popular participation and in the construction of the basic structure that will guide political and social actions in each community.
