Cabello: On the instructions of President Maduro, we activated Peace Zone No. 1 between Táchira and Zulia with 15,000 troops

During statements to the media, the sectoral vice-president of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reported on the creation of Peace Zone No. 1 between the states of Táchira and Zulia.

“President Nicolás Maduro Moros decided to create Peace Zone No. 1, which includes the states of Táchira and Zulia, and has ordered a major reinforcement of what already exists,” Cabello reported.

He also reported that this special deployment has already begun and includes means, troops, aviation, river deployment, drones, to protect the borders. “15,000 men who will leave, and we ask the Colombian government that has been collaborating to do the same on the Colombian side to ensure peace along the axis and thus evict those who want to settle to commit crimes in the border area.”

He indicated the participation of care and combat units, known as URRA, throughout the territory for the defense of peace.

The sectoral vice-president of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace assured that the announcement will prevail in the fundamental consensus of Venezuelans, which is peace. “When there is peace, people are calm: investors, those who produce produce. That area is going to be one of total peace,” he said.

“Those who have a relationship with criminals assume their responsibility, that we assume ours, if our people can be sure of anything, it is that in those areas we will make every effort; in addition, they will have the 15,000 men, all the support of the police forces,” he added.
