The sectoral vice-president for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, described as “aberrant” the recent statements of the President of the United States (USA), Donald Trump, against Venezuela, considering that they demonstrate the true intention of imperialism to seize the country's resources.
“Here the
masks fall and the whole setup (against Venezuela) is a confession (...) this is aberrant.
Which Venezuela is stealing land from the United States? Which Venezuela is stealing oil and other assets from the
United States? For God's sake! Review the story Mr. President,”
he said after reading the publication of the American president calling for a naval
blockade against the country.
In this regard, he stated that the streets of New
York and Washington “are paved with stolen Venezuelan oil,” and argued
that with these statements it is clear that the attacks against Venezuela do not
respond to reasons such as “the Aragua Train, democracy, dictatorship,
terrorism or the Cartel of the Suns”, but rather to interest in the country's wealth.
“It has been demonstrated that this is why
we have always said: our oil and our resources,” he said.
Regarding the issue of human trafficking
mentioned by Trump, Cabello pointed out that there in the United States they have a network of coyotes
“who were the ones who promoted human trafficking and charged them, just
ask those of you who have prisoners back in the United States how they got there and who they paid and you'll see who runs
the coyote network.”
He also denied Trump about sending Venezuelan migrants to the
country, stating that since December 10, the United States has
not authorized sending any returnees. In addition, he recalled that with Venezuela
it is the only country with which the United States has a formal agreement for the return of
migrants.
For this reason, he assured that “we are facing the
threat of a decadent imperialism, of a sick imperialism and I am talking about
those who are in charge who think they are emperors and who think they are masters of the world”.
