The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, explained that in the process of running for election of Integral Based Bolivarian Committees, he must comply with a methodology.

“It should start at 10 in the morning, each community has an average of six streets, and the head of communities must be present at six meetings and must start, the head of the community, with the direction of the person in charge by state. Then the application process begins,” Cabello said during a PSUV press conference.

In this regard, he argued that “each participant may nominate three people”, who must be registered, while stressing that the assembly will have more female than male candidates.

Subsequently, 50 candidates will be added to a list.

“Based on those 50 candidates, the vote comes and each candidate will have a number, and when the elections come, the participants can vote for five,” he said.

He added that, after the process, a sum of votes is made and then a record is drawn up on a sheet, the first fifteen that were left in the voting order. “The vote is secret,” he said.

Once the process is over, the minutes are handed over to the community leader to be handed over to the person in charge by state.

“Everyone can participate, over 15 years old, and can be elected over 15,” he added.
