Cabello ratifies permanent active resistance: Attacks against our country must not paralyze us

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reiterated this Tuesday that the attacks and threats of United States (US) imperialism will not paralyze the country, so he once again called for permanent active resistance.

During the Extraordinary Plenary of the V Congress of the PSUV, Cabello recalled that President Nicolás Maduro guided the tasks for this event. “Very particular tasks in the face of the times we are living in (...) in the organization of our party, the organizational structure in the tasks that are carried out, but also in the preparation for the defense of the Fatherland,” he said.

He confirmed that “these attacks that occur against our country must not paralyze us. The country must continue to function. The comprehensive defense of the nation is here in this Constitution and is the co-responsibility of all Venezuelans and all Venezuelans. There are no exclusions of any kind, if you want to exclude yourself, that's a matter for him or her,” he said.

In this regard, Cabello stressed that “if someone decides to ask for invasions against our country, they are immediately assuming that they exclude themselves from their obligations as a Venezuelan and as a Venezuelan, and the Venezuelan State reserves whatever actions it wishes to carry out, without being blackmailed to anyone. We don't blackmail anyone.”
