In his Con El Mazo Dando program, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, downplayed the allegations made by the opposition member Juan Barreto, regarding alleged threats to his person, “don't be a coward Juan, everyone knows you, a bully, with that little voice like you haven't broken a plate and not like we didn't know what you're in”.

In this regard, broadcast number 489, stated that Barreto, in statements to the media, has indicated that “Diosdado is threatening me, I am a man of peace, I have never thrown a stone. He's threatening me. I'm going to complain to his mom”, a comment that was dismissed by Cabello.

“I don't sell you anything, you go and buy your things outside, so you're going to blame me,” he said.

He also commented that Barreto complained because there is a van standing in front of his house, “and he's nervous. Where does Juan live? To go visit him to get rid of his fear. I'm going to be in uniform, yes, you heard.”

Cabello said that Barreto declares that “to be named in the media, because that's what he lives for”, while ironizing that he doesn't pursue anyone because he comes out very tired of the show. “What am I going to pursue?” in the face of the laughter of the audience present.

“Even if anyone grabs you,” he said, faced with Barreto's excess weight.
