The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, asserted that since Commander Hugo Chávez came to the presidency, they began to launch narratives against Venezuela.

“They have been tales of stories and history in recent times. Commander Chávez warned us that they are going to accuse us of a thousand things, as they have done,” said Cabello Rondón, during his Con El Mazo Dando program.

In that sense, he affirmed that they (the North American empire) at this point don't care whether or not they believe the narratives he invents against Venezuela. “Just like the weapons of mass destruction that were sure to exist in Iraq and there was nothing, are genocidal,” he said.

He recalled that in Venezuela they began to take out drug things, then they came with the Aragua Train, then the Los Soles cartel, that they were going to put an end to drug trafficking and now they are talking openly about a change of regime “because we have to fight for democracy.”

“Information came out this week that explains how people were sent to the United States to put together the narrative of the Aragua Train,” he added.
