The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, said that sectors of the extreme right continue to pursue the objective of abolishing the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
“They need to abolish the Constitution so they don't have to be held accountable to the People,” Cabello emphasized during the PSUV's National Management Press Conference.
Cabello recalled that, during the 2002 coup d'etat, they burned the Magna Carta as part of their actions against laws that defend the interests of Venezuelans.
The revolutionary leader defended that the Constitution “belongs to the People, it was approved by the People and it is the People who defend it”.
