Cabello: The PSUV went from winning elections to taking to the streets to defend the Bolivarian Revolution

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, highlighted the growth of the Red Awning in terms of organization and mobilization. “We have gone from winning elections when it's our turn, to taking to the streets to defend the Bolivarian Revolution,” he said.

During the extraordinary Plenary of the V Congress of the PSUV and the Youth of the PSUV, Cabello Rondón emphasized that it ceased to be a party that only wins elections, because it “formed cadres to have an organization and strengthen the Revolution.”

He recalled that the United Socialist Party of Venezuela was created by Commander Hugo Chávez in 2006. “19 years later, modesty aside, I can say that the PSUV is the largest and the best organized party.”

He also insisted that it is essential to maintain permanent mobilization, active, in training, on the street.
