“This people are like this, calm, at peace, because the Bolivarian Revolution exists; otherwise, it wouldn't be like that, and they know it,” emphasized the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, during the press conference of the red awning, and reiterated that the country's stability is the direct result of the political leadership of the Bolivarian Project.
Cabello stressed that peace in the country is the priority and recalled that the only destabilizing event recorded recently was the American bombing in the early morning of January 3. He stressed that there were no demonstrations of support for this aggression and questioned the silence of the Ecclesiastical Hierarchy.
“The Ecclesiastical Hierarchy has done nothing, nothing, because they have a long straw tail and they have it on,” he stressed.
The revolutionary leader stressed that Pueblo is progressing in its daily activities, the start of the school year went smoothly, as was the installation of the National Health Council, a body that coordinates actions to strengthen public assistance. He added that the Government is still deployed in the territory: “We were in Apure delivering equipment to the Peace Quadrants; the Government does not stop.”
Cabello also reported the seizure of almost seven tons of drugs in the Orinoco River, an operation he defined as part of the ongoing effort to ensure the safety and tranquility of the population.
Regarding the next holiday, he said that the country will not stop: “Carnival is coming, carnivals. The country is not going to stop and Rebel February is coming; it starts in Rebel February with January 23. We will continue on the street with the people in our daily struggle.”
The Secretary General assured that no opposing sector can impose evil in Venezuela and called for the mobilization of January 23 as an expression of unity and commitment. “We are still fighting for the freedom of our brother, President Nicolás Maduro, and of the first female combatant Cilia Flores. We continue for peace, tranquility and stability in our country,” he concluded.
