The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, assured that the violent and destabilizing script of the extreme right will continue to be defeated by revolutionary forces.
“They keep repeating that script; they remember (Juan) Guaidó (...) They will end up the same: defeated and will be defeated by all the forces of the Revolution, the same script, the same story,” Cabello said during a PSUV press conference.
He also mourned the death of two PSUV militants because of calls for violence on the part of Mr. Edmundo González and María Corina Machado.
He recalled that unlike April 11, 2002, when these extreme right-wing groups used snipers, this time “they themselves carried weapons and murdered their own people; we warned the fathers and mothers of families that they were going to use them as cannon fodder, as elements of the show they wanted to mount against Venezuela (...) it was violence between them”.
He pointed out that in this new wave of violence they attacked squares, schools, universities, pharmacies, sports facilities, among others. “Terrible and between them (the extreme right) they generated the violence that led to the death of a group of people from that same sector, all under the hiring of criminals,” he said and pointed out that criminal groups such as the Tren del Llano and Aragua came out to support that opposition sector led by María Corina Machado and Edmundo González.
