Friday, May 16, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of
Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, said that new generations of
politicians must understand the importance of listening to the people in the streets.
“Listening,
listening, listening, that's one of the things that the generation of
new politicians has to understand; fundamental, more than talking it is listening; and more than
promising it is doing,” Cabello said during his program Sin Truco Ni Maña.
In that
regard, he referred to his visit to Cojedes state yesterday when he
had the opportunity to participate in one of the campaign activities of the
candidate for governor for the Great Patriotic Pole, John Moreno.
“Comrade John Moreno is doing a very nice
campaign there, he walks on the
street every day, under the school of Iris (Varela), to visit houses,”
he said and pointed out that Moreno is a working man who trained in the ranks
of the party's youth.
In addition, he asserted that the Venezuelan opposition “is bad in the opposition, but it is worse in governing; it's terrible they don't serve anyone, they are firing the workers of the government, just because they express their support for John,” he said, referring to the fact that the absence of the mayor and the current governor of Cojedes is evident in the entity.
