This Friday, January 24, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, emphasized that our Homeland has always remained in solidarity with the neighboring country of Colombia, because that is what Commander Hugo Chávez taught us.
“One of the reasons is the issue of solidarity, the human factor of this Revolution, we learned that from Commander Chávez and from the great Cuban experience (...) we are trying to do the same and with all the historical problems that Colombia has, Venezuela every time it has intervened it has been to contribute to peace,” said Cabello, referring to his visit to the Colombian-Venezuelan border where attention is being given to the displaced Colombians who arrive in the country as a result of violence.
In that sense, during the new Podcast he hosts with Tania Díaz, he recalled that during the Constitutional Reform Referendum, “Commander Chávez disengaged from the campaign, to help Colombia, even some ungrateful and ungrateful people were released thanks to the efforts made by the Commander for the Peace of Colombia.”
He emphasized that the peace of Colombia, as well as that of Venezuela, guarantees the stability of the Great Homeland. At the same time, he specified that at this point “anyone who lies and says that Colombia is at peace is not seeing reality, they have 80 years of a war that they don't want to end it, for whatever reason, but they don't want to end it.”
“It affects us, but it also affects Ecuador, Bolivia, all countries it affects us,” he said.
For her part, the deputy to the National Assembly (AN), Tania Díaz, assured that “war is good for everyone, except for the Peoples of America.” At the same time, he confirmed that Venezuela serves all the displaced who arrive from Colombia.
