The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and State Security Agencies have not stopped, despite attacks against our country, in their fight against drug trafficking and crime, said the Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón.
During a press conference held this Tuesday, Cabello highlighted that the experience of members of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) has been fundamental in the fight against drug trafficking. “Our GNB officials have a great deal of experience, which they have been transmitting to the State Security Agencies,” he said.
“We don't stop, we continue to make progress in the fight against drug trafficking, crime. The numbers for the year 2025, in terms of security, are extraordinary for the country, but they were tarnished by the terrible, devious events of the attack against our country,” said Cabello.
In this regard, Cabello pointed out that, as an example of the results of the reduction in crime, the homicide rate fell by 25% last year compared to 2024.
“We started 2026 on the right foot in the fight against drugs, with the extraordinary performance of our police forces with the information provided by our people. We are working for the peace and quiet of our people,” he emphasized.
