From the Miraflores Palace in Caracas, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello assured that “we have been fighting against imperialism for 25 years (...) We defeated them yesterday and we will continue to defeat them.”
He stressed that the actions waged by the extremist right this Monday are part of their plan of violence.
“We send greetings to the international observers who remain in the country (...) This is part of the observation because it is the plan that the right had for four or five months before not recognizing the results,” he said.
Cabello specified that for some time the representatives of the fascist right have stated that they would not recognize the results.
“It's imperialism in its different ways. Today we are on the street and we are going to beat them,” he said.
