The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, praised the heroic feat of the People on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of the Popular Insurrection of 1958, a historic milestone that marked the end of the dictatorship of General Marcos Pérez Jiménez.
“On January 23, the People were betrayed by political and business sectors, all led from the United States (USA); they even signed something called the Fixed Point Pact, actually called the New York Pact signed by Nelson Rockefeller,” said Cabello, during the mobilization commemorating the Civic-Military Rebellion in Caracas
In this regard, the first vice-president of the PSUV reiterated that for 40 years there was repression against the People, extermination, complicity and corruption until the Bolivarian Revolution arrived at the hand of Commander Chávez.
“When we say January 23, we say more than ever a betrayal against the People, let that be the last betrayal they do to our support. We didn't come here to betray this People, we came here to win and triumph together with the People,” said Cabello.
