Cabello: Whoever joins a security force for personal gain is getting into a tremendous mess

The Minister for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, made a firm call for ethics and moral commitment among those who are members or aspiring to join the State's security forces.

“The message is clear: whoever thinks they can enter a university or a police force for personal gain, don't do it. Return. If someone intends to extort money from a security agency, they are getting into tremendous trouble. When that is discovered, the full weight of the law will fall on him,” Cabello warned, stressing that the vocation of service must be the only engine for joining security institutions.

In this context, he announced the creation of Community Risk Control Units in each Peace Quadrant, as part of citizen mobilization and preparation exercises to strengthen the capacity to respond to contingencies. “Each Quadrant must have a communal unit for risk control. If a person is injured, someone must treat them. That's why training and training are essential,” he explained.

Cabello emphasized that the training offered by the National Experimental Security University (UNES) has increased enrollment in several states of the country. “Here in Monagas, we recently inaugurated an extraordinary headquarters. Our boys are taking classes. The one wearing red is a firefighter, yellow or orange is Civil Protection, blue is a police officer. That's how we identified them,” he said.

He also reflected on the change in public perception of the police force: “Before, when they saw a patrol car, people were running. Today, people must feel that when they see a patrol car, friends and friends are arriving. We must be models for children, for teachers, for the entire community.”

He stressed that the training of firefighters, police and Civil Defense personnel now has institutional support and professional continuity through UNES, consolidating a State policy aimed at the comprehensive protection of the Venezuelan people.
