President (E) Delcy Rodríguez decorated rescuers from Europe, the Middle East and Latin America

The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, this Friday, July 3rd, decorated a group of international rescuers with the award of the Hero of Venezuela and Canine Heroes of Venezuela awards to a contingent of 478 specialists and 36 canines from 12 nations in Europe, the Middle East and Latin America .

The day was held at the GJ Stadium. Jorge Luis García Carneiro in the state of La Guaira, at an event broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, where the president in charge awarded the above-mentioned medals to the German delegation that participated in the rescue and rescue efforts.

The recognition highlights the contribution of these international teams and strengthens the links of humanitarian cooperation and risk management in times of national emergency.

He also awarded the decorations to the delegation of rescuers from the Plurinational State of Bolivia, for their efforts to search and rescue lives in the face of the intense earthquakes of last June 24.

At the event, he delivered a letter of thanks to the Government of Bolivia for the support provided to the Venezuelan nation at this difficult juncture.

He also awarded the Heroes of Venezuela medal to the USAR Firefighters of Chile team, in recognition of their dedication and courage during rescue efforts.

He also delivered a letter of thanks to the Government of Chile, highlighting the profound gesture of solidarity that strengthens ties of humanitarian cooperation.

The honored delegations were: Germany: 27 rescuers; Bolivia: 20 rescuers; Chile: 45 rescuers; Colombia: 67 rescuers and four canines; Slovakia: 20 rescuers and four canines; Spain: 67 rescuers and five canines: Jordan: 107 rescuers and six canines; Lithuania: 44 rescuers; Portugal: 62 rescuers and six canines; Dominican Republic: 19 rescuers and six canines; Czech Republic: 69 rescuers and eight canines.

The event was attended by the president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, and the sectoral vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón.

The ceremony was accompanied by members of the nation's accredited diplomatic corps, including the ambassadors of Switzerland, Spain, Colombia and Portugal, together with consular delegates from Bolivia and Chile, to endorse international cooperation in the area of risk management.
