Cabello: With the Popular Consultation, the People are developing Commander Chávez's proposal for ¡Comuna o nada!

The Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, described the National Popular Consultation process as an extraordinary success, which allows us to see the communes realizing Commander Chávez's dream of giving power to the People.

“We held a popular consultation this Sunday to define the budgets of community projects and it was a resounding success throughout the national territory where we saw the People's Power developing the proposal of Commander Chávez de Comuna o Nada,” Cabello stressed during his “Con El Mazo Dando” program.

In this sense, he compared the model of democracy of the Bolivarian Revolution, with its concrete expression of Participatory Democracy during the national consultation to choose projects for the more than 3,500 Community Circuits throughout the country, against the decentralization of the Fourth Republic, which only allowed elections as a mechanism for exercising power by an elite group.
