The Sectorial Vice President of Defense and Sovereignty, G/J, Vladimir Padrino López, warned Trinidad and Tobago not to violate the sovereignty of Venezuela, because the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and the People “are called to defend our Homeland and we will be vigilant.”

The warning was made regarding the military exercises promoted by the United States Government that will take place on the island and that violate the declaration of a zone of peace signed in 2014.

Padrino López assured that in the past Trinidad and Tobago was a victim of the English empire, but now it is a victim of colonialism, “because it lends its territory against the will of a people as a foreign military base, threatening peace in the region and mocking that call we made since 2014, by declaring ourselves a zone of peace.”
