Candidate Nicolás Maduro: I will recognize the election results and I call on the other candidates to do so

The candidate of the Great Patriotic Pole (GPP), Nicolás Maduro, reiterated his commitment to recognize the electoral results that will be issued by the National Electoral Council (CNE).

“I, Nicolás Maduro, recognize and will recognize the official bulletins and call on the other candidates and the more than 30 political parties to do so,” he said after exercising the right to vote.

In this regard, he called on the international community to respect the Venezuelan electoral process while stressing that it is the most efficient process in the world. “Venezuela has an electoral referee,” he said.

He assured that after the elections he will call on all political sectors to a process of dialogue.

“The dialogue must be permanent (...) we must create thousands of mechanisms to achieve this, I have always called for dialogue,” he emphasized.
