The candidate for the National Assembly (AN), Pedro Infante, expressed his categorical rejection of the silence and double standards assumed by the High Commissioner for Human Rights of the United Nations (UN), Volker Türk, in the face of the kidnapping of Venezuelan migrants in El Salvador and the case of the girl Maikelys Espinoza, who was rescued after the firm position of the President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro.
In an interview with the program Here and Now, hosted by journalist Julio Riobó, published on the La Iguana TV website, Infante asserted that “the United Nations System is outdated, full of immorality, irresponsibility and fundamentally obeys the designs of the world's powerful.”
He argued that the UN authorities “with their double standards, with their double standards, have not spoken out for the 253 Venezuelans who have been taken to a Nazi concentration camp in El Salvador.”
He reaffirmed that at no time did they demand the release of Maikelys, keeping a complicit silence, despite the flagrant violation of human rights. “They didn't want to act. What they have done is play crazy,” he emphasized.
